Adtran Total Access 916 2nd Gen Description:

The Adtran Total Access 916 is an IP business gateway designed to act as a multi-connection device for business communications. The 4212916L1 provides a T1 WAN interface, 16 FXS ports, a DSX-1 port, a fast Ethernet port, and an IP router all in a single box. The Total Access 916 (4212916L1) also includes support for features such as G.168 echo cancellation, SIP connectivity, G.711 and G.729a codecs, and has a firewall built into the unit. The Adtran 4212916L1 can support SIP trunks entering the Total Access 916 and break them off to FXS analog ports. The 4212916L1 can also use a T1 trunk interface to connect the FXS ports. The Adtran 4212916L1 supports router features such as a firewall, NAT, VLANs, Voice Quality Monitoring (VQM), and Quality of Service (QoS) all in a single box.

The 4212916L1 is the second generation version of the Adtran Total Access 916. The second generation includes various updates such as the ability to support up to 4 T.38 sessions, an extra 16MB of flash memory, an increased echo-tail length cancellation to 64ms, and the ability to support MGCP.
