Dell PowerConnect 8024F Fiber Switch Description:

The Dell PowerConnect 8024F is high speed fiber networking switch designed for campus or data center environments. The 8024F supports up to 10GbE connectivity through each SFP+ port. Four Ethernet combo ports allow for the use of either fiber or Ethernet on ports 21-24. The 8024F is built to be stackable at wirespeeds, allowing up to 6 Dell PowerConnect 8024F switches to be stacked together.

The Dell 8024F supports layer 3 routing capabilities. In addition the switch features iSCSI optimization and a host of other standard networking features. The Dell PowerConnect 8024F has been designed for converged networks and data center bridging with features such as priority-based flow control (802.1Qbb), iSCSI optimization with iSCSI TLV support, DCBx discovery and 10Gb wire-speed performance on all ports. iSCSI traffic on a Dell PowerConnect 8024F supports iSCSI traffic monitoring at the fabric level, allowing an administrator to track active iSCSI sessions.
