Netgear AX742 ProSafe 24Gb Stacking Module Description:

The Netgear AX742 is a stacking module meant for Netgear ProSafe switches. This 24 Gb/s module is meant for high traffic stacking of switches together. The SAS port on the module allow for high speed connections between switches in the rack and allows the switches to function as a single unit. When configured in a resilient ring topology, the stacking module can deliver up to 48 Gbps of stacking bandwidth.

The Netgear AX742 stacking module supports IEEE 802.3ak 10GBASE-CX4 ininibands specifications. It is compatible with the Netgear M5300 series of network switches. The stacking module can use any standard CX4 Infiniband stacking cable.
