ShoreTel 480G Gigabit IP Phone Description:

The ShoreTel IP 480G is the new advanced IP phone designed for ShoreTel phone systems and the new ShoreTel Sky system. The ShoreTel 480G is designed to work with the new ShoreTel Sky cloud based system as well as ShoreTel's ShoreGear voice switches. The IP480G is a 8 line IP phone with tri-colored LEDs that indicate line status. A full duplex speakerphone has been added to the ShoreTel 480G, allowing for clear, vibrant conference calls.

The highlight of the ShoreTel 480G is the integrated Gigabit Ethernet switch. The Gigabit two port switch in the bottom of the 480G allows users to collocate their phone and PC on the same network drop without losing network speed to the desktop.

The ShoreTel 480G includes several fixed feature keys including transfer, conference, hold, history, voice-mail, and directory. A backlit display is included with the phone that displays details such as date / time and caller ID. A headset port has been built into the phone for handsfree calling. The ShoreTel 480G supports visual voice-mail.

The IP 480G runs on SIP, as opposed to earlier phones which were MGCP. The ShoreTel 480G also supports the G.722 HD voice audio codec now. This means the phone can deliverable the clearest possible calls to your customers on the other end. The phone can either be powered via a power over Ethernet switch or an optional Gigabit PowerDsine power injector.
