The Avaya G700 (MPN: 700394984) is a media gateway. This gateway is designed to work as a stand alone unit, with additional G700 media gateways, or with Avaya's S8300 media server. The Avaya G700 Media Gateway is designed to be expandable and modular, with support for up to four additional media modules. In addition to these media module slots, the G700 (700394984) also has slots for a P330 expansion module and an Octa plane stacking fabric slot. The Avaya G700 comes with a console port built in for connecting to the gateway and programming through the serial interface. The Avaya G700 is a rack mountable unit, and is 2U in height.

The Avaya G700 media gateway supports 15 ports of tone detection and has a slot for Octaplane stacking fabric. Two 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports are built into the G700 (700394984) for LAN access.
