The Dell PowerConnect 8132F is a 24 port 10Gb SFP+ network switch capable of operating each port at speeds up to 10 Gbps (1Gb/10Gb). This high speed network switch is upgradeable, and can accept up to 32 ports with the installation of an optional QSFP+/40GbE module to expand the fiber ports of the Dell PowerConnect 8132F. The Dell PowerConnect 8132F has a built in USB port for local import / export of configuration files and other necessary files. The Dell PowerConnect 8132F supports standard administrative functions such as broadcast storm control and iSCSI auto-configuration.
Broadcast storm control is provided for keeping your network up and running even in the event of a physical loopback in a network. The Dell PowerConnect 8132F supports DCB requirements including PFC (802.1Qbb) ETS (802.1Qaz), DCBx, and iSCSI TLV 2.2. The Dell PowerConnect 8132F supports HA stacking up to 6 Dell 8100 series network switches. The Dell 8132F supports a Total Switch Fabric Capacity up to 840 Gbps, supports a forwarding rate of up to 960 Mpps, and can store up to 128,000 MAC addresses. The PowerConnect 8132F supports 9 MB of packet buffer memory.
The Dell PowerConnect 8132F supports Layer 3 routing protocols. As a layer 3 switch, the Dell 8132F can support up to 512 IPv4 or 256 IPv6 static routes. The Dell switch supports Routing Information Protocol (RIP) v1 and v2. Additional enterprise features supported are Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) v1/v2/v3, and Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR). The Dell PowerConnect 8132F also supports Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) and ICMP Router Discover Protocol (IRDP).
