Adtran Atlas 550 24 Channel Voice Compression Module 1200312L3 Description:
The Adtran Atlas 550 voice compression module (1200312L3) performs G.723.1 compression for four voice channels in frame relay applications. The card allows for four calls to feature compressed audio in order to save bandwidth. The card does not present any physical interfaces and is a plug-on board for all user interface modules and the resource host module. By using only 1/6th the bandwidth of a standard phone call, the voice compression module allows up to 6 calls to be made on a single DS0 circuit.
The 1200312L3 allows for up to 24 channels to utilize the G.723.1 voice codec. The Adtran 1200312L3 is compatible with the Adtran Atlas 550 IAD gateway.
