ShoreTel voice switches come in many different variations and configurations. These voice switches are designed to be used across many different platforms and businesses from small to large. Whether you use SIP trunks, analog trunks, or T1; there is a ShoreTel voice switch for you!

ShoreTel Voice Switches with T1 Circuits:

Legacy voice switches are older switches that support the older versions of ShoreTel Director. These switches will support the newer versions as well, and can be an excellent way to save some money. For those who have not updated their system in a few years, they are a good way to ensure your system will work. The newer non-legacy switches are half-width and allow for higher density applications but are not supported by the older versions of ShoreTel Director.

The legacy switches only support a combination of IP phones and analog ports. They cannot use both the analog ports and IP phones at the same time. The trade-off on the older, legacy switches is 5 IP phones for each analog port or trunk. The newer half-width voice switches allow for both IP phones and analog ports / trunks to be used at once.

There are two special voice switches release by ShoreTel. These switches provide enhanced voicemail capabilities over the standard voice switch. The two switches are the ShoreTel SG-50V and the ShoreTel SG-90V.  The SG-50V can support up to 22 hours of embedded voicemail storage and the 90V can support up to 56 hours of voicemail storage.

All of these switches can support SIP trunks in addition to IP phones, and the newer ShoreTel switches can also support softphones and other SIP based devices.

We hope this helps you select the voice switch that you need. If you have any other questions about ShoreTel switches, or would like to order a tested, refurbished switch with warranty, please give us a call at (800) 95-REFURB.
